Buymarr
Buymarr is a small community located approximately 90 kilometres from Nhulunbuy (just over an hour's drive) and accessed via Central Arnhem Road. Buymarr homeland is situated on the East Arnhem coastline offering views over pristine beaches along the Gulf of Carpentaria and great fishing experiences on Gudatjpirr River.
Buymarr is located on the traditional lands and waters of the Wangurri people. Gatjil Djerrkura OAM established Buymarr homeland in 1985 with the dream to develop opportunities to allow family members to live and work on their country.
