Gove Country Golf Club, also known as Australia's Top Golf Course due its location as the most northerly course in Australia, is a picturesque course located just four kilometres from Nhulunbuy town centre and only 400 metres from Middle Beach.
The Gove Country Golf Club course is a 9 hole all grass course with alternate tee positions to make up a Par 72 (ACR 71) course of 6110 metres. The club was established in 1970 and its new premises were opened in December 2005. The club has hosted many Pro-Am tournaments and today the 54 hole handicap Gove Gulf Amateur Open attracts visitors from throughout the Northern Territory and interstate.
Gove Country Golf Club has a licensed bar for members and bona-fide guests as well as a kitchen serving a delicious menu. The second floor club house offers up spectacular views of the beach and is the perfect spot to relax after a day on the greens.
